Can you provide hotspots for students who need it?
It is important to Orange County Public Schools that you have access to the tools you need to be successful. This includes access to a digital device and wireless high-speed Internet at school and at home. Current qualifying OCPS students are eligible for FREE hotspots with a monthly data allowance through generous partnerships with the T-Mobile EmpowerED and Spring 1 Million projects. Qualifying students receive a hotspot with 2GB of data monthly and qualifying high school students receive a hotspot with 10GB of data monthly. To qualify students must be a current OCPS student that is not a charter school and not have wireless internet at home wireless Internet (Wi-Fi) at all or not have wireless Internet (Wi-Fi) at home strong enough to have everyone connect their devices at the same time and still be able to complete your homework without websites loading slowly or being kicked offline. If you meet this criteria and feel you will need a hot spot, please email us at [email protected]
