Principal’s Message
Greetings Dragon Families,
I feel privileged to step into the role of principal of Castleview Elementary School, where we are four houses, one castle. I have the incredible opportunity to work with such a high-quality and dedicated team. My vision is to provide a dynamic and engaging learning environment that focuses on the academic, relational, and social-emotional needs of ALL students.
The vision of Orange County Public Schools is to ensure every student graduates prepared and inspired for a thriving future. Here at Castleview Elementary, we work to achieve this vision every day by providing standards-based, differentiated instruction to every student who enters our building. Meeting student academic and social-emotional needs is achieved through providing interventions and enrichment opportunities daily, allowing all students to reach their fullest potential. Additionally, we are proud to offer the Two-Way Dual Language Program, where students learn in both English and Spanish—building strong academic skills and cultural appreciation.
Research shows that parent engagement in a child’s education has a multitude of positive impacts. Therefore, we encourage our community to participate in our school life. There are many opportunities to be involved at Castleview. Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a great way to get involved with planning events and participating in fun activities along with meeting other parents. Our School Advisory Council (SAC) meets monthly to discuss school-wide progress. The SAC’s primary role is to assist in the preparation and evaluation of the School Improvement Plan for the current year.
I look forward to a strong finish to the 2025-2026 school year at Castleview Elementary School and seeing all the smiling faces that make our school special.
With Dragon Pride,
Rebecca Young
Principal, Castleview Elementary
